Why the Community Response?
The
community response is based upon the belief
that parents
love their
children and want them to be safe.
Sometimes parents need help to make that
happen. The community response can provide
that help.
Working in partnership with families
Identifying families needs
Providing
services and resources in a family’s
own community
Building
on the family’s and community's Strengths.
The Parenting Network - Visalia Family
Resource Center (PN-VFRC) received
information that your family may need
support and assistance. Your family was
referred to your PN-VFRC . A team member of
the PN-VFRC will visit your home to offer
services and linkages to services.

What is Differential Response?
Every
month, hundreds of calls are made to the
Child Abuse Hotline. Some calls are made to
help protect children who are living in an
unsafe environment and may be at risk of
child abuse or neglect.
And sometimes a call can be about a family
who is experiencing some difficulties in
life or parenting challenges . Their
children are safe and not at risk of child
abuse or neglect. However, depending on the
family’s needs , they may benefit from
receiving resources and/or referrals from
community partners.
